Brief
To grow their customer base and develop new revenue through online sales.
Solution
We designed an e-newsletter which featured new books and special offers. In order to keep costs down, this was designed as a template so our customer could update the copy themselves. The newsletter drove significant new traffic to their website, where recipients could buy online. We also incorporated an email sign-up box on the newsletter to capture new subscribers details which are fed directly into our client's email marketing system's database.
Outcome
The first e-newsletter generated over 60 direct sales in a couple of hours. It is now sent out twice a month and has replaced a very expensive quarterly brochure. Through viral marketing (‘send to a friend') it has attracted new customers from all over the world.
Due to it's immense success, the newsletter now contains over 40 box ads per month which have more than paid for the initial set-up costs – so it now pays for itself!
